Bryan University is pleased to welcome Mr. Zachary Hancock as a new faculty member to the institution’s solar diploma and solar degree program. As the Solar Program Oversight Chairman, Zach will teach and facilitate development of Bryan University’s Solar training program.

Zach is actively involved in the Solar industry and is a current Project Manager for Sunbelt Solar, a division of Sunbelt Environmental Services based in Springfield, Missouri. “Since 2013, I’ve taken part in over 1,000 solar installations in 11 states ranging from off-grid cabins to large scale utility,” said Zach. “I’ve done everything from installation, sales, project management, to electrical estimating and engineering.”

Zach also brings considerable teaching experience to BU students. From 2004 to 2013 he was active-duty with the United States Marine Corps HMLA-369 Combat Squadron. During this period he served in three combat tours with Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2005, 2007, and 2009. After these tours, Zach worked at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training where he helped educate over 200 students. Zach also holds a BAS in Business Administration from California College San Diego.

“We are excited to have Zach in a teaching role at BU,” said Michael Sowers, Executive Director with Bryan University. “His excitement for the field, perspective, training and professional experience will be an incredible resource and benefit to our students.”
