*ACICS Statement on Accreditation

The U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) denied renewal of recognition of the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) on December 12, 2016. The USDOE has given ACICS-accredited institutions 18 months to seek accreditation with an USDOE-recognized agency to maintain eligibility to receive funds under Title IV, HEA programs. Institutions that do not obtain such accreditation within the 18-month time frame (i.e., by June 5, 2018) would no longer be eligible to receive funds under Title IV, HEA programs.

Bryan University has begun the accreditation process with the Accrediting Commission of Career Colleges and Schools (ACCSC), an USDOE-recognized agency. Bryan University is confident that the institution will obtain ACCSC accreditation within the timelines imposed by the USDOE.

Any student who has a complaint relating to Title IV eligibility or administration, the quality of education received at Bryan University, or otherwise relating to the accreditation standards of ACICS can submit that complaint using Bryan University’s grievance process described in the Catalog and/or the links to any of the following agencies:

United States Department of Education

Missouri Department of Higher Education

Kansas Board of Regents
