A Snapshot of Grants Available for Our Military and Veteran Students

The American Hero Grant is available to current members of our military or former members who served our country in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom – Afghanistan or other theaters of operation. If a former member of the military, the recipient must have been honorably discharged. The amount awarded is $500 per quarter with a $5000 maximum award per program.

The Hero Family Support Grant is offered to dependents, spouses or partners of military personnel. The recipient must have at least one parent, spouse or partner who is a current member of our military or former member who served our country in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom – Afghanistan or other theaters of operation. The qualifying military personnel must have been honorably discharged if they are no longer serving. The award amount is $500 per quarter with a $5000 maximum award per program.

The Bryan University Grant for Military Personnel is available to current members of our military or former members who served our country. To be eligible for the award, applicants must submit an application, provide a copy of their DD214 or a copy of their military orders, or certification of eligibility, demonstrate honorable discharge (if a former member of the military), be enrolled in Bryan University as a full-time student, not be a current or previous recipient of any other Bryan University grant, successfully complete their program of study within established maximum timeframe, and have financial need once all other VA benefits and eligible federal and/or state funds are applied to their student account balance. The award amount is up to $1,000 awarded upon graduation. The Bryan University Grant for Military Personnel is applicable to any outstanding balance up to $1,000 for students seeking a diploma or degree

Bryan University is approved for MyCAA, The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship Program. The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides eligible military spouses with financial assistance for licenses, certifications or associate degrees to pursue an occupation or career field.

This program is open to spouses of active-duty service members, National Guard and reserve members in pay grades E-1 through E-5, W-1 through W-2, and O-1 through O-2. To learn even more about MyCAA, head over to the MyCAA fact sheet.
