Supporting Our Students
Mrs. Cornelius leads the Department of Admissions at Bryan University and works with her team to ensure new students are provided with information about BU and our programs. Mel loves our students and is always active in commencement ceremonies. She believes deeply in the Bryan University mission and works very hard to give each student the best foundation for success.
Education and Experience
Mel has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a minor in business and a minor in equine science. She has worked in post-secondary education for more than fifteen years.
Professional Involvement
Mel is very active representing BU in public events across the region. It is not uncommon for her to be at trade shows and education fairs telling our graduate’s stories to the next generation of students.
Interesting Facts
Mel and her husband live and manage the land and livestock on 500 acres. Despite this love for the land, Mel’s true passion is with horses. She is active in equine events and has ridden and trained with famed horse trainer Buck Brannaman.
