  • Drop/Add Policy
    • The add/drop period for each quarter is designated as the period when students may add or remove courses to finalize their schedules. Add/drop dates in the table above reflect those dates applied to first-time enrollments at the specified start date:
  • First-Time and Re-Enter Students Add/Drop Policy
    • The first fourteen calendar days of a student’s first quarter is designated as the add/drop period for first-time Bryan University students. This is the period when students may add or remove courses in order to finalize their schedules for the quarter. Students who cancel their enrollment during this period will not incur tuition charges; however, they will be responsible for books and fee obligations, including the application fee. Students who wish to make course changes must request approval from the Bryan University Registrar.
  • Continuing Student Add/Drop Policy
    • The first seven calendar days of each quarter beyond the first quarter is designated as the drop/add period for continuing students or re-enters.
  • Continuing Students Registration Timeline
    • Students may be permitted to register/enroll for each available calendar start date through the first week of each Quarter Start Date.
  • Holidays Observed
    • New Year's Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Holidays observed indicate those days business operations for the University will experience reduced staffing or closed.  All online courses will remain open and available for student and faculty engagement.

Each expected graduation date includes two weeks of scheduled break time annually (if applicable to a student’s enrollment period).

Bryan University reserves the right to change program start dates, break weeks, and graduation dates at any time.

Teach-Out Plan

Medical Assistant Diploma and Medical Office Assistant

Bryan University has been successfully serving students and communities since 1982 and has offered the Medical Assistant – Diploma and Medical Office Assistant – Diploma programs since August of 2013. The University regularly hears from graduates about the meaningful difference a Bryan University education has made in their lives and careers.

Our mission is to improve the lives of our students, our team and our employers. We accomplish our mission by providing quality education in an environment that enables our team to thrive and our students to realize their potential, creating a positive impact within our communities. Our Goal remains the same now as it did back in 1982: Give you, the student, the tools and opportunities to excel in your chosen career.

In response to a Program Specific Warning issued by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), Bryan University has developed a teach-out plan for the Medical Office Assistant – Diploma and Medical Assistant – Diploma programs after the programs fell below the 70% retention rate required for compliance with ABHES expectations for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Effective March 5, 2026, Bryan University has notified both prospective and currently enrolled students of the existence of this teach-out plan through appropriate institutional disclosures and electronic communication. In addition, a teach-out plan acknowledgment has been incorporated into the Admissions Application, requiring prospective students enrolling in these programs to review and acknowledge the existence of the teach-out plan prior to enrollment.

The University remains fully committed to the successful completion of all students enrolled in these programs and has implemented additional monitoring and student support initiatives designed to improve retention outcomes. Bryan University is actively taking all reasonable steps to ensure these programs meet or exceed the 70% retention benchmark required by ABHES for continued accreditation while protecting the interests of currently enrolled students. The steps Bryan University has implemented are paying off as both programs are currently exceeding retention requirements in the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Bryan University is also pleased to report that both the Medical Assistant – Diploma and Medical Office Assistant – Diploma programs exceeded the ABHES required placement rates during the 2024-2025 Academic Year, with placement rates of 89% and 100% respectively, demonstrating strong employment outcomes for graduates of these programs.

Student satisfaction tells the story, and Bryan University is proud to report that in our most recent survey both the Medical Assisting – Diploma and Medical Office Assistant – Diploma programs achieved a 100% student satisfaction rate.
